What is a dental emergency?

  • Pain or toothache
  • Swelling
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
  • Broken teeth or fillings causing pain or that feel sharp
  • Damage to teeth or soft tissues as a result of an accident

What do if you have a dental emergency

Please contact your nearest practice as soon as possible where Martin will try and see you the same day. If Martin is not at your practice that day, then one of his experienced and friendly colleagues will be happy to help.

What if the practice is closed?

Please see the website of your nearest practice for further out of hours emergency dentistry or visit www.hampshiredentalhelpline.nhs.uk or call 0845 050 8345 between 8am and 9.30 pm on weekends or bank holidays.

If your emergency arises after 9.30pm then please call NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
